👨💼 About the Role We’re on the lookout for a hands-on Assistant Venue Manager to work alongside the Venue Manager in driving daily operations and ensuring every guest leaves with a smile. You’ll be a key leader within a small, tight-knit team — helping to deliver smooth service across the bar, restaurant, gaming, and accommodation areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional ready to take the next step in their career — with accommodation provided and plenty of room to grow.
🧭 Your Day-to-Day
- Support the Venue Manager in overseeing all operational areas — bar, gaming, restaurant, and accommodation
- Lead, train, and inspire staff to deliver exceptional customer service
- Manage rostering, stock control, and daily financial procedures
- Take charge of venue open/close duties and ensure compliance and safety standards are met
- Handle gaming payouts, cash management, and reporting
- Step up and take the reins during the Venue Manager’s leave or days off
💪 What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a pub, hotel, or hospitality venue
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- A “hands-on” approach with a focus on teamwork, service, and community connection
- Current QLD RSA, RSG, and Approved Manager Licence & RMLV (or willingness to obtain)
