Restaurant Manager-Far North Queensland-Coastal Location
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager for this busy venue in remote Queensland.
This is a very hands on Restaurant Manager role and candidates need to be willing to be engaged across all aspects of the restaurant. This role will suit a candidate with excellent a la carte / bistro restaurant skills with a passion for leading and mentoring their team.
The venue has gaming machines, busy public bar, restaurant and detached bottleshop.
Despite the distance from other major cities, this vibrant and sustainable coastal community offers most of the facilities and conveniences of modern living. Spend your days off taking in the natural beauty and cultural heritage, explore the stunning beaches and unspoiled wilderness or experience the unrivalled fishing in the area.

IMMEDIATE START
Package: FULLTIME POSITION WITH ANNUAL LEAVE
Fulltime Position with Annual Leave
(Expected earnings between $65,000-$75,000)
$27.83 Per hour Monday-Friday
$34.79 per hour Saturday
$41.75 per hour Sunday
+ Public Holidays and Overtime Rates
- Accommodation Provided ($200 bond)
-Assistance with travel subject to minimum employment duration
Duties: (Position Description Provided)
- Day to day management of the restaurant
- Staff supervision, training & Mentoring of staff
- Counting & Balancing Tills
- Customer Service
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by offering excellence in customer service
- Creating wine menus and creating SOP’s
- Stock ordering
- Other duties as required
- Other Directions as given by the GM
Candidates Must Have:
- Extensive restaurant experience in an a la carte / bistro restaurant
- Strong Barista skills
- Good knowledge of bar operations
- Happy demeanour
- Hold a Current QLD RSA
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Ability to work unsupervised with time management skills
- Ability to think outside the square
Other Information:
- There are around 20-30 staff live and work on site
- Access via daily flights
- Telstra Mobile and Internet coverage is available
